HI, I was wondering how the luggage situation works on your departure from my hotel. We are staying at the Polynesian and leaving on air tran. How do they charge you for your bags when we won't be seeing them again until we get to the airport?

    Hi Kathy,

We had a lovely stay at the Polynesian last October. It's such a bummer to be planning your departure from the resort, however it does make your vacation less stressful having everything in order.

    It’s just one extra step.

Quick and painless, except for the cost that is added to your credit card for the luggage fees. Ouch.

Prior to taking your luggage to the Resort Airline Check-In desk, you will need to call Baggage Airline Guest Services at (407) 284-1231 to pay your fees. The desk does not take payments, however they will have record of payment made via Baggage Airline Guest Services.

When you call, record your confirmation number in case your fees are questioned at the RAC desk. Usually, my Reservation already has my pre-paid luggage fees noted.

For departing guests that forget to call ahead of time, the RAC desk will provide you with the phone number to call from the desk. However, they can not accept your luggage until your fees are pre-paid.

Guests traveling with access to the internet can check in for their flight and pay fees from their airline's website.

I love Resort Airline Check-In. You won't see your bags again until Baggage Claim at your home airport so be sure to keep necessary items in your carry-on bag!
