Hello! I was wondering if you could link multiple single-day park hopper tickets to a Magicband+? I will be going for a 3 day stay and using different tickets each day but still wanted the experience of a Magicband+.

    Hi there, Katie,

This is a great idea. I love using my MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort. My family and I have done something somewhat similar to what you are planning. So this should work quite well for you too.

If you are familiar with how MagicBand+ works at the Walt Disney World Resort, you may notice a few differences from how it works at the Disneyland Resort. At Walt Disney World, a MagicBand is permanently linked to a specific Guest in My Disney Experience. Then, any ticket or pass that is also linked to that Guest will automatically be associated with their MagicBand+ as well. At the Disneyland Resort, a MagicBand+ is linked to a Disneyland Resort account rather than to a specific Guest. Then, any ticket or pass that is also linked to that account can be assigned to the band. Up to one ticket or pass at a time can be assigned to a MagicBand+. To use a different ticket with the MagicBand+, simply use the Disneyland mobile app to update the assigned ticket for the band.

To link a MagicBand+ to a Disneyland Resort account, follow the setup instructions on the Disneyland Resort website. You can power on the band and tap it on your compatible phone to prompt it to download the Disneyland mobile app. From the app’s ☰ feature menu, you can open the MagicBand+ page to link your band to your account. Follow the on-screen prompts to step through the process. After linking the band to your account, you may then assign a theme park ticket or Magic Key pass to the band. Each day of your stay, you can open the app’s MagicBand+ screen and tap the blue “+ Assign to a Ticket or Magic Key pass” link for your band.

Tony’s Tip: If a ticket is already assigned to the band, you can tap the ticket name and number for the MagicBand+ to select a different ticket, if you wish. You may not want to do this until you are ready to use a different ticket on each day of your visit. But if you happen to have multiple members of your party and only one MagicBand+, you can use this method to allow different members of your party to experience the magic of MagicBand+. Be sure to charge your band and turn it on so you can experience the surprises that happen at select attractions.

I hope you have a magical time, Katie!
