was wondering if their is a limit to how many resorts you can stay at during your vacation time or does disney discourage it?

    Hi Pamela,

You can stay at as many resorts as you wish during your vacation. There are some pros and cons to "resort hopping".

You'll get to enjoy the amenities of multiple properties, however taking advantage of package offers is difficult with multiple reservations. It's easier to book your trip components separately when staying at more than one resort. You would make a room only reservation for each hotel and then purchase your tickets separately.

You will spend time transferring between resorts and from check-out time at your first resort, to check-in time at your second resort, you will be without the privacy of your own room. This is usually fine if you plan to head to a WDW theme park, however if someone in your family gets sick (I speak from experience), then the hours that you are without your own room may be inconvenient.

Our family loves to resort hop. We typically stay at at least two resorts on every vacation. The most we've done in a single visit was three resorts.
