Hi Whitney,
Welcome back to planDisney! It’s always great to see Guests like you return time and time again to help plan the practically perfect Disney vacations that make unforgettable memories. I’m so glad you stopped by with this great question about one of my favorite
Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
The Fiji building at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort features Resort View rooms on all floors, including the third, which face toward the new Island Tower and the nearby pool area. If your heart is set on Fiji and you’re hoping for a bit of that classic Seven Seas Lagoon magic, I’d suggest requesting a room on the northwest corner of the third floor. From up there, you may be able to catch a peek of the lagoon’s edge. It’s worth noting that while room requests can be added to your reservation through a Cast Member at the Front Desk, they’re never guaranteed. I’ve found that skipping the
direct-to-room check-in feature in the
My Disney Experience app gives me the chance to chat with a Cast Member in person. I always let them know we’re willing to wait if it means improving our chances of getting the location we’re hoping for.
If you're unsure whether the new Island Tower view is quite what you're dreaming of, there are some wonderful alternatives. The Aotearoa, Rarotonga, and Niue buildings also feature Resort View rooms, offering relaxing scenes of lush tropical landscaping. I like to think of them as your own little slice of Motunui, where the landscaping and peaceful atmosphere make it feel like you’ve stepped into your own Disney story.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction as you plan your stay at this iconic resort. If you have any more questions or want to hear about my go-to routine for catching
Happily Ever After fireworks during a Polynesian stay,
just let me know. I’d be happy to share!
