Hello again Diana and thank you for sailing back to us at planDisney!
You are just days away from being welcomed aboard for a vacation filled with tons of fun and relaxation on the Disney Cruise Line! I can practically feel the ocean breeze just thinking about it. You won't just be having a fantastic time on the ship, you'll also be visiting some beautiful ports of call, including
Disney's Castaway Cay!
And I have some great news for you because not only does Castaway Cay have a secured children's activity area that is overseen by Disney Cruise Line counselors, you do not need to make reservations for your children to take part in the fun. If your children are between the ages of 3-12 and are registered to participate in the Youth Clubs on board, they are welcome to visit Scuttle's Cove any time while you are on Castaway Cay. Scuttle's Cove is available on a first-come, first-served basis so feel free to drop by at your leisure. Say "ta-ta for now" to your children and then make a beeline to Serenity Bay for a relaxing oasis. I love to sway in the hammocks and just enjoy the sparkling sand and crystal clear waters.
You may also enjoy a child-free
bicycle ride around the island, or try some
snorkeling on the Castaway Family Beach. Both of these activities are great for families, or just adults too! There are so many options and I have no doubt that you will make great use of your time on this island slice of paradise.
I'm not sure of the ages in your sailing crew, but if you have any preschoolers or toddlers, be sure to visit the Spring-A-Leak water play area on the island. My little ones absolutely loved it, and not everyone knows its there. Whatever you choose to do, enjoy your day exploring Castaway Cay! And if you just can't get enough, know that you can take advantage of special offers and discounts if you book your next Disney Cruise while onboard. You can even do this using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are on the ship. I love to be able to say "see ya real soon!" to Captain Mickey.
Now it's off to some fantastic adventures for you and your crew! Enjoy!
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
