Hiya Tiffany! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
Summer is such a lovely time to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! My family and I were visiting last July and while we expected it to be very hot it was actually not that bad, and the quick afternoon thunderstorm helped to clear out the Parks and cool us down! Make sure to pack your raincoats and ponchos, as Florida weather can be a little unpredictable in the heat of the summer months! You're also going to be arriving at the tail-end of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! Running through July 4th, this Festival shows off the beauty of EPCOT with flowering blooms, perfectly manicured topiaries, and lots of extras like popup
outdoor kitchens with tasty treats! Make sure to save some time to check it out!
Meeting and greeting characters is such a great way to feel connected to the magic of the Resort. I remember my very first interaction with Minnie Mouse when I was very small, and I can't wait to get back to hugs and autographs with my own children and their favorite pals! At the moment, character meet-and-greets are still socially distanced, usually with a rope or other small barrier between you and the icon you want to meet. Autographs are not available at the moment, but no one is going to stop you from turning around and taking a selfie with the Big Man himself! Some character sightings even have
Disney PhotoPass Photographers available to take your photo for you.
While we all love to see Winnie the Pooh frolicking among the flowers unannounced, there are tons of ways to catch your favorite characters in action all throughout the Parks. The
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom is full of your pals dancing right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. You might also look to your
My Disney Experience mobile app and
Disney Genie Service Tip Board to help you find where and when characters will be out and about.
If you want some "character time" set in stone, think about making an Advance Dining Reservation for a Character breakfast or dinner!
Chef Mickey's at
Disney Contemporary Resort, hosts the Fab Five, who will make their way around the Restaurant greeting you from a distance and posing for pictures. Take a look at other
character dining options to see if there is one that has just the person you want to see!
You never know how things will change by July, but even if everything is as it is today I know you and your party will have a wonderful time seeing all your favorite character pals!
