Hello Eris, and thank you for bringing your question to planDisney! I love seeing a fellow Midwesterner make plans to travel to sunny California to visit the
Disneyland Resort!
Yes, there is an incidental hold of $250 if you are staying at a
Disneyland Resort hotel, but it is a one-time hold for your stay, not per night. If you do not have any incidentals charged back to your hotel room during your stay, that amount will be refunded in full upon checkout. Do not hesitate to ask any of the Cast Members for assistance during your stay!
There are so many wonderful benefits of staying at a
Disneyland Resort hotel, and our favorite benefit is to take advantage of
early entry, where guests staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels can take advantage of admission to both theme parks 30 minutes early to enjoy select attractions, shopping, and dining locations. With the time zone change coming from the Midwest, we were always awake already, so why not take advantage of shorter wait times for some of our favorite attractions!
I see you're arriving in August for your trip Eris, and perfect timing for you to enjoy the
Disney100 Celebration happening throughout the Disneyland Resort! I am most excited for the opening of the
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway attraction in Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland Park.
I hope you and your family have the most magical trip Eris!
Melissa
