Hello! I was wondering if i’m staying with family the night before my cruise & not flying in, is there a way to be dropped off by family at the airport & use the disney buses to the port?

    Hello, Caroline!

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question as you prepare for your Disney Cruise. I'd be happy to help. Yes, you may book a ground transfer from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral. Your family member can drop you off at the departure area of the airport, and you'll need to make your way to Side B, Level 1 – Ground Transportation, where you will find a Disney Cruise Line representative. Once you have arrived, you can check in with the representative for the next available transfer. You can usually check in as early as 8:30 a.m., with the first transfer leaving sometime after 9 a.m. and the last transfer of the day usually around 2:00 p.m. It will take approximately one hour to drive to the port on an air-conditioned motor coach, with Disney trivia or cartoons on the video screens, and a comfortable seat as you make your way to your Disney Cruise Vacation.

To book your ground transfer, please call Disney Cruise Line. They might ask about your arrival information, and you can explain that you have arranged to stay near the airport with family and will be taking care of your transportation to the airport. Ground transfers are charged a per-person fee, and it's best to book as soon as you know you'd like to use the service, as space can be limited.

I hope that information helps as you make your plans for an amazing vacation with Captains Minnie and Mickey. There will be so much to do, see, explore, and eat during your sailing. I can't wait for you to enjoy it all. Please be sure to download (or update to the latest version if you already have it) the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. I suggest that once you are onboard the ship, you scroll through the Daily Activity Schedule within the Navigator App and click the heart icon next to any activities that interest you. If you enable app notifications, you can receive a reminder notification about 15 minutes before these activities begin! I wish you a fabulous cruise filled with fun and happy memories!

    Have a wonderful cruise,
