Hi Katherine,
Welcome, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
I’ll be participating in the
Springtime Surprise Weekend, so I pulled up the
course map for the 10-Miler event on April 6th, 2025. The pathway between
Disney's BoardWalk and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is part of the course around miles 2 and 3. Athletes will be crossing the starting line between 5:00 AM and approximately 6:11 AM. I can’t give an exact time the walking path will be cleared of participants, but they are expected to maintain a 16-minute mile on the course.
I looked ahead to
April 6, 2025, on the Hours & Events Calendar and I see Disney’s Hollywood Studios has Early Entry from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM and opens for regular park hours at 9:00 AM. I’m not sure if you’re planning to arrive for Early Entry or regular park hours, but in my opinion, it would be best to find an alternative mode of transportation to reach Hollywood Studios. The
Disney Skyliner opens one hour before
Early Theme Park Entry.
FriendShip Boats travel between the BoardWalk Villas, Yacht Club and Beach Club Villas to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Bus transportation may also be available from
Disney’s Beach Club and
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn due to the walkway’s closure. There should be signage in the Resort lobby with additional information about your transportation options on the race day.
If you’d prefer to change your theme park plans, the 10-Miler course only runs through EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you choose to visit Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom, the only athletes you’ll notice are those who are celebrating by wearing their medals! No matter which park you visit, I recommend allowing extra travel time on a race day because there will be detours around Walt Disney World for the event.
Have a wonderful vacation in Disney World, Katherine! The Easter Egg displays will be out at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort during your visit! You’ll even find some special Easter treats available throughout Walt Disney World. I’ve been reading through the
Disney Eats: Easter Foodie Guide and planning my own version of an Easter egg hunt that stops at the egg displays and includes a tasty treat along the way!
