Hi there, Diana!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you stopped back by with your question about a future Disney Cruise Line vacation and I am super hopeful it’s because you had an AMAZING time on your first Disney Cruise!
Booking a future cruise or placeholder while onboard has some great perks and I am so glad you took advantage of them. So now that you have a placeholder selected, its time to look at that calendar and
itineraries and find the best one that works into everyone’s schedule! Thankfully, Disney Cruise Line makes is super easy and convenient for Guests to do just that! As long as you set sail WITHIN 24 months of the date that you initially booked the placeholder (so that date would be during the cruise you booked it on) then you can move it around as needed. So, for example – if you booked a placeholder on July 2, 2018 your voyage would have to be before July 2, 2020 to utilize the placeholder and any specials you received with it. If traveling within 24 months of the initial placeholder booking date is an issue, your best bet would be to cancel completely and rebook for a later date. But by cancelling the placeholder you would lose any onboard booking benefits received.
To move your sail date, contact Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 or your travel agent to have the sail date moved for you. Please note that if there is a difference in the deposit amount when you change sail dates, you would be required to pay that amount when moving it.
Oh, I am so thrilled to hear you are headed back to sea for yet another fun adventure with Captain Mickey! Each voyage just gets better and better!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
