Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and from our military family to yours, a heartfelt thank you to both you and your husband for your service and sacrifice.
Rebecca, if your husband has a retiree photo ID card issued by the Department of Defense, that identification is acceptable for use to obtain military discounts at the Walt Disney World Resort. These discounts include
Military Promotional Tickets, a discount on the
Memory Maker package used in conjunction with PhotoPass, and
Military Resort Hotel discounts. Please note that the resort hotel rates cannot be obtained online, but by calling the phone number on the Military Resort Hotel discounts site I just linked for you. One of the friendly Cast Members on that phone line would be more than happy to assist you with your reservation.
Regardless of his veteran status, in the event that your husband has any sort of limitations that would prevent him from standing in line for long periods of time (including PTSD if crowds are bothersome to him), please see Guest Relations inside the first theme park you visit during your trip regarding a
Disability Access Services (also known as DAS) pass. This is designed to be used in conjunction with the
FastPass+ service to shorten the wait times of your party.
Please come back and visit us again with any planning questions!
Best Wishes,
Amy S.
