Hi just wondering where would be a great place to eat dinner and watch fireworks? (and what time do they start?) Thank you.

    Hi, Marty!

    This is a great question!

Lots of folks plan an entire day around enjoying a great dinner, capped off with a fantastic fireworks spectacular while at Walt Disney World.

A fan favorite is California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Dinner is simply top-notch, with a unique view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, Magic Kingdom's one-of-a-kind fireworks display. Viewing from right inside the restaurant or the nearby California Grill Lounge or outside observation deck are all wonderful options. Check out this venue on WDW's website, entering "California Grill" in the search bar.

Another popular dining / fireworks combination is 'Ohana, at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Cap off a dinner of  "all-you-care-to-enjoy Polynesian-style delights" with a stroll to the nearby beach for a unique view of Wishes. It's a perfect night, to be sure.

We also really love both The Crystal Palace and Tony's Town Square Restaurant, both in the Magic Kingdom. Schedule a dinner approximately 1 1/2- 2 hours prior to the show, then enjoy a leisurely meal, not having to worry about getting to where you want to view the fireworks. You'll be right there, and can walk right out of the restaurant to view them.

The very many Table-Service Restaurants at Epcot will also offer you dozens of wonderful meal options, so check out the menus at WDW.com. Once finished your meal, find a spot where you can see World Showcase Lagoon, and you'll be in for a treat with IllumiNations, a wonderful pyrotechnic display that starts at 9 p.m.

Finally, the incredible Fantasmic! is over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, where you'll also find the wonderful The Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant and Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, both favorites.

Send another question including dates of your stay so I can be more specific with options and times. I love to help, Marty!
