Hello, I am wondering if Goofys Kitchen is closed mid September or if they haven’t released reservations yet. I am wanting a dinner reservation for the week of September 10th and have heard from others that there are no options that week. Are they closed?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Jessica!

Welcome to planDisney! It’s an honor to welcome you to our little corner of the internet as you prepare for your visit to the Disneyland Resort in California this September! Goofy’s Kitchen is one of my favorites! My husband swears by the chilaquiles here and I can never resist the eggs benedict at breakfast time. And let's be honest, any time you can get your hands on Mickey Shaped Waffles is a good time, indeed!

Now, let's make sure you're all set for your visit!

Goofy’s Kitchen is super popular, so reservations are highly recommended. You can start booking dining reservations 60 days in advance. Right now, I tried to reserve a table for two and also for four guests on September 10th, and I got the same "no availability" message you did. There are a few reasons this might be happening. It could mean all the tables are already booked by eager, ravenous guests like us. It might also mean that, like last year, the restaurant is preparing a spooky new menu for Halloween and hasn’t released reservations yet. Or it could simply mean that reservations haven’t opened yet.

Either way, my advice is to check the reservations page again in a few weeks.

I hope this helps, Jessica! Being prepared will make your visit magical.  So, if you have any other questions or need more tips, consider me your personal Toodles and send me a message directly!

    Your pal,
