Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel John!
Disney World is my favorite place to celebrate a birthday!
If you're staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel, be sure to tell them that you're celebrating your daughter's birthday when you check in & request a "Happy Birthday" button for her. You can also get one at Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. Cast Members will wish her a Happy Birthday during your trip and you never know what unexpected surprises may happen. I've seen some really cool things happen for Guests.
If you are dining at any of the Table Service locations, be sure to let them know you'll be celebrating a birthday during your trip when you make your Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs). They usually bring out a cupcake or a small dessert for the person celebrating a birthday. You can also top off your celebration with a speciality cake by calling 407-827-2253. ADRs & 48 hours notice are required.
If you are participating in any of the special offerings like the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, they recognize any Guests celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions during the voyage. They also recognize birthdays at the dinner shows like Mickey's Backyard BBQ.
You can arrange for a special gift or in-room celebration through the Disney Floral & Gifts Department. Visit them online at
www.disneyflorist.com or call them at 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438).
If you'd like some ideas of some special ways to celebrate, let me know your daughter's age and I'll be happy to provide some for you.
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
