Hi, Alethea! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question. Yes, there are several gluten-free food options at the
Disneyland Resort. I spoke to a Cast Member this weekend about the resources available to Guests in search of gluten-free items, and she said it is always best to ask to speak to the chef directly so they can accommodate your specific needs and reduce the risk of cross-contamination issues in the case of a gluten allergy.
Many items can be modified, such as substituting a gluten-free roll or bun on your sandwich at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, requesting gluten-free waffles in advance at
Plaza Inn, and ordering corn tortillas instead of flour at
Rancho Del Zocalo. Many snacks at the outdoor vending carts may be gluten-free, like the popcorn, Mickey-shaped ice cream bars, cotton candy, Pineapple Dole Whip, and ever-popular turkey leg. However, ingredients can always change, so please confirm in person before enjoying any of these items.
If you have a gluten allergy (or any other common food allergy), Disney recommends making dining reservations in advance and informing the restaurant of your dietary restrictions so accommodations can be made to suit your needs. Please visit the Disneyland Resort website for more information about
food allergies and special dietary needs, and feel free to ask me any other questions you may have, Alethea!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
