Hello I am wondering if I should get genie+ for multiple parks on a Christmas party night.I will have tickets for party. I would like to purchase a ILL for tron light cycle run for a time during party hours or is it virtual queue at 6pm the only Option?

Hey Howdy Hey Behroz and welcome to planDisney!

Well Behroz, it sounds like you have a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort planned that is going to be super fun! You will be visiting during the most Magical time of the year and this will be such a great opportunity. Thank you for your question about Genie+ and access to TRON Lightcycle / Run during your vacation. You've got a friend in me who can give you all of the details. Giddy up!

As far as purchasing Genie+ for multiple parks on the day of your visit, it would be entirely up to you which attractions and parks you would like to experience. You can get into Magic Kingdom typically 2 hours before Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party starts which will give you time to experience many of the attractions around the park. Word of advice, typically Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes are not available during these special events. This is usually due to the lower crowd volumes and the super short wait times. You are more than welcome to book Lightning Lanes or Individual Lightning Lanes for the time between when you can get in the parks early and when the party officially starts.

Most attractions will be available during special events as well. You may have the opportunity to join the special access Virtual Queue for TRON on the night of the party. This typically will be available starting when the party officially begins, but as always, ride availability and access are subject to change. Keep an eye on Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party page for all of the updates as we get closer to those dates and more information is released.

Personally, my family will choose not to purchase Genie+ on the day of the special ticketed events. With younger kids, we typically take the morning and afternoon off and get to Magic Kingdom as soon as our tickets will let us in. This gives us time to take advantage of the shorter lines at the time and save the popular attractions for when the party starts and the lines will be much shorter. We typically have been able to go directly to most attractions with a super short wait time and even walked right on in many instances during party hours. But that is my experience with younger kids in the parks!

I hope this information was helpful so you can better plan your Magical vacation. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
