Happy Halfway to Halloween, Tiffany!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question about my FAVORITE time of the year...HALLOWEEN!
It's been a while since the Grim Grinning Ghosts have come out to play, as
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was put on pause in 2020. The spellbinding SPOOKTACULAR party is my favorite special event, and I truly missed it last year. That being said, I visited Walt Disney World Resort last October, and while there wasn't an "official" Halloween party, there were still plenty of tricks and treats for Guests to enjoy! While the Boo to You Parade was on a break, there were Character Cavalcades throughout the day, with favorite Disney friends and Villains decked out in their Halloween finery. The
Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet had several performances, with lots of Halloween-themed songs and hilarity. (Fun Fact: If you look carefully, you can spot how each one "died" with hints from their costume!) We were able to find the ghostly cowboy quartet in Frontierland, singing their HAUNT-ingly familiar tunes.
My friends and I were on a mission to sample all of the delicious Halloween-themed treats, offered at numerous locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including
Disney Springs. I'm pretty sure we checked almost all of the tasty, spooky offerings off our list! My favorite fall treat was definitely the Frozen Apple Cider at
PizzeRizzo in
Disney's Hollywood Studios. It came with a poisoned apple glow cube that I often pop into my beverages at home!
At this time, Madame Leota's crystal ball is a little cloudy, and it's a chilling challenge to see if Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be returning in 2021. My fingers are crossed that soon we'll hear that the Happy Haunts will be materializing to scare up some party dates this fall! In the meantime, I'll be waiting in my Doom Buggy, keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog - the best source for the most up-to-date information about this year's Halloween festivities.
Your Ghost Host,
Diane W.
