Hi, I was wondering when the formal night would be for my 7-Night Alaskan Cruise From Vancouver leaving Aug 19, 2024. And is there a dress code? like the colour of the dress or the type.Thank you!!

    Hi there, Yi-Yun!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney. Visiting Alaska while sailing on the Disney Cruise Line sounds like an amazing vacation! I have not taken an Alaskan cruise yet, but it is definitely on my bucket list. My family usually sails to tropical destinations, but we like exploring the outdoors and I know we would love a trip to Alaska.

Below is the current attire schedule for the Disney Wonder sailing on August 19, 2024. I recommend verifying the schedule on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app after boarding the ship, as schedules are subject to change.

    • Monday: embark - casual
    • Tuesday: at sea - formal
    • Wednesday: Dawes Glacier - casual
    • Thursday: Icy Strait Point - casual
    • Friday: Juneau - casual
    • Saturday: Ketchikan - semi-formal
    • Sunday: at sea - casual
    • Monday: disembark
You can dress up as much as you want for the formal and semi-formal nights! A dress, pantsuit, or dress pants with a jacket or suit is recommended. However, it is completely optional! I enjoy wearing a gown for formal nights, but I know many Guests prefer to keep it more casual. Some Guests wear sundresses or jeans. You can wear what you feel most comfortable in, as long as the attire meets the dress code (such as no swimwear).

Dining codes are more strictly enforced in the adults-only restaurant, Palo. Dinner and brunch have different requirements. For example, dress shorts can be worn for brunch but are not recommended for dinner. I had brunch at Palo Steakhouse on the Disney Wish last year, and it was my favorite meal on the ship. Everything we ate was delicious, and the service was top-notch! Detailed dress code information for Palo and the other restaurants can be found on this Frequently Asked Question page.

A day filled with Frozen fun, including the Frozen Deck Party, is currently scheduled for the Friday of your voyage (subject to change). This magical day is filled with activities for the entire family! I know my kids would love meeting Elsa and Anna, as well as participating in the “Anna's Chocolate Chase” scavenger hunt. It sounds like a blast of icy fun!

Yi-Yun, have a magical sailing aboard the Disney Wonder. Do not hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions.

    Happy sailing!
