Hey howdy hey, Heather, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Look no further, because we have the answer for you!
I’m happy to report that yes, you may bring food and drinks into the theme parks, with the exception of items in glass containers and alcoholic beverages. Just keep in mind that a cooler or backpack can’t be larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. Also, loose or dry ice isn’t allowed in the parks, so I recommend packing a re-usable ice pack if needed. Just keep in mind that you'll be asked to show the items in your bag or cooler at the Security Checkpoint on your way into the parks. Should you have any additional questions, you can always check the
Disneyland Resort Rules.
As a mom of three Mouseketeers under the age of 7, I typically pack a backpack full of snacks, including granola bars, fruit snacks, food pouches, and crackers. On the warm California days, I also take advantage of the complimentary cups of ice water offered at quick-service restaurants. This is a great way to save you from carrying around heavy water bottles all day!
Another option for storing your food and any extra clothing or souvenirs is to
rent a locker for the day. You can also stop by the
Picnic Area, located just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, where you can enjoy your food in a comfortable, shaded setting. There are even lockers adjacent to this Picnic Area!
There’s
plenty of fun to look forward to this fall and beyond… you won’t want to miss a minute of the magic! Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… I’m all EARs!
See ya’ real soon!
