Hi! I was wondering if the flower and garden decorations get taken out overnight when the festival finishes of if there are still elements that stay for a few days after? Thank you

    Hiya Loren,

Welcome to planDisney! There is just something special about EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival! I’ve always loved the fresh flavors of the Outdoor Kitchens and have been inspired by the beautiful topiaries and flowers each year. I actually purchased one of the smaller take-home topiaries this year so I could keep the festival blooming at my home a little longer.

Loren, I’m sorry it sounds like your visit is falling at the tail end of the festival, but I hope there is still some magic left. Unfortunately, there isn’t a specific schedule for when the topiary displays are removed, so there are no guarantees. In my experience, some of the topiaries have lasted at least a few days after the festival officially concludes. Some of my fellow panelists have also noted that some have even been spotted up to a week after the festival. Depending on when you are planning to visit, you may be able to catch a peek of some of your favorites (mine was the Moana and Maui one this year), but what will remain and how long will be a magical surprise.

I hope this was helpful, Loren! Before I let you go, if you love horticulture, definitely make sure to check out as many of the resort hotels as you can. The Walt Disney World Resort horticulture team does an amazing job maintaining the grounds, and I always find that you can spot some of the most stunning flowers and plants throughout the resort hotels. My Prince Charming and I love taking a walk around the resort hotels and marveling at the different flower beds and making note of what might be a great addition to our own garden. I hope that you have a magical day, and I’m sending pixie dust for a little leftover festival magic for your visit. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
