Hi, Amber! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am so happy to hEAR that you are considering attending a Fireworks dessert party during your upcoming trip! Earlier this summer, I attended the
Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing at
Magic Kingdom Park with my family. All of us agreed that it was one of our favorite Walt Disney World Resort experiences. In fact, we're planning to attend again on our next family trip.
Reservations are highly recommended for the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing and can be made up to 180 days in advance. Party guests can check-in at
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant approximately 90 minutes before the start of the fireworks. At Tomorrowland Terrace, you will be treated to an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet of snacks, desserts, and beverages. Once you are finished with your delicious desserts, a Cast Member will escort you to a reserved viewing section in the Plaza Gardens. In my opinion, the Plaza Gardens are the best spot for viewing the
Happily Ever After Fireworks. Since the lighting and projection effects on
Cinderella Castle play such a big part in this fireworks spectacular, you will want a good view of the castle. No matter where you are in the Plaza Gardens, your view will be practically perfect in every way.
It is important to note that there is no seating in the Plaza Gardens. You're welcome to sit on the grass while you wait for the show to begin, but there are no chairs or benches, and you will need to stand during the fireworks. If anyone in your party is unable to stand, or you simply would rather have a seat at the end of a busy day of theme park fun, the
Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace would be a good option for you. This party is identical to the party with Plaza Garden viewing, except that your family will have a reserved table along the railing of the restaurant from which you can watch the fireworks.
I see that you will be arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season. Did you know there is even
a version of this dessert party that takes place during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?
My kids weren't sure what they loved the most about the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing, the tasty treats or the breathtaking fireworks views! I loved that we had an amazing viewing spot and there was no need to spend precious theme park time saving it. This party was the perfect way to end our evening, and I would definitely recommend it!
Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
