Ahoy there, Jessica!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’re planning ahead for all the pixie-dusted outfits and themed night fun during your
cruise on the Magic—and I say, you’re doing it right! As someone who once packed a full pirate costume and a Halloween costume, I fully support the “better over-prepared than under-dressed” strategy. So, let’s dive into what to expect!
While entertainment and themed night schedules are always subject to change faster than you can say “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo,” here’s the current plan for your sailing aboard the Magic:
Day 2 (Nassau):
Halloween on the High SeasBreak out those not-so-spooky costumes and get ready to celebrate with trick-or-treating, themed crafts, and the ever-popular Mickey’s Mouse-querade party!
Costumes should be family-friendly and safe to move around in—trust me, you’ll want to be nimble when dancing with Jack Skellington!
Day 4 (Lookout Cay):
Pirate NightYo ho, yo ho, it’s time to transform into a swashbuckling scallywag and enjoy a buccaneer bash under the stars. From themed menus to character appearances to the deck party and fireworks (weather permitting), it’s one of my family’s favorite nights. I always say, don’t be afraid to go all in—eye patches, bandanas, pirate boots and all!
Day 5 (At Sea): Optional Dress-Up Night
This is your chance to feel like royalty—or just add a little extra sparkle to your evening. You can dress to the nines or keep it cruise casual, whatever fits your crew's vibe. My wife always says it's her excuse to bring out that “just-in-case” dress, and honestly, dinner tastes even better when you're feeling fancy.
Now for your dining rotation—that’s one detail that gets revealed once you’re onboard and can view it in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. If you have a favorite dining location or want to request a specific server (which we always do—our favorite is on the Magic, and she's pure magic herself!), you can
call Disney Cruise Line directly to make that request in advance. While it's never guaranteed, the Cast Members do their best to add a little extra pixie dust where they can.
I hope this helps as you plan your practically boo-tiful outfits and swashbuckling looks! A little advance planning now means more time for photos, dancing, and memory-making once you're onboard. If any other questions bubble up as your sailing gets closer, you know where to find me. I’m always happy to help make your cruise planning a dream come true!
Sea ya real soon with a June full of sun, sea, and shipshape adventures,
Dustin
