I am wondering if fast passes can be transferred in the line. I am asking because I know 2 yr olds do not need a fast pass, but I am worried that my daughter will get to the front of the fast pass line and not want to ride with her nana. Could we switch?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erin!

Disney firsts with little mousketeers can be an exciting milestone for families! But sometimes our tiny mouseketeers get a bit shy when the time comes and decide they’re not ready just yet to enjoy those exciting new adventures.

Erin, when you book FastPass+, they are assigned to specific guests. The My Disney Experience mobile app does have an option where you can modify the FastPass+ guest party, but this can be tricky to do if the guest you wish to transfer a FP+ to hasn’t used their three pre-booked FP+ yet when you try to reassign a FP+. So, it is possible, but it might not be your best solution.

Another option is to use the Rider Switch service. Although this service is designed for the little ones to not have to wait in line so they can enjoy the park while they wait, if your tike decides last minute not to ride you can try alerting a Cast Member about your situation and ask them if they would provide a Rider Switch pass so you can exit the ride and come back later without the littleone. Cast Members are eager to make your visit as magical as possible and understand these things happen! But this would be a unique exception, so I can’t guarantee they will be able to help you. It never hurts to ask.

Be sure to make yourself familiar with Rider Switch before you arrive since it might be a very useful service during your visit. And if you have any questions, please do stop by.

We hope to see ya again real soon.
