    I was wondering just how far the walk is from the Shades of Green to the Polynesian? Also, can the fireworks from Magic Kingdom be viewed from Shades of Green? Thank you very much!

    Great questions Chris!  The Shades of Green is an awesome resort for our great military men and women and families to use during their stay at Walt Disney World.

    The walk is only about a ten or fifteen minute trek. On a nice day this is actually quite a nice way to get to the monorail that then connects you to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. On a rainy day you might prefer to take a bus that will get you to the Transportation and Ticket Center.  You can find the route by clicking HERE.

    Although I have not been to the Shades of Green for a stay apparently you can see some of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the top of the parking facility.  As always, I recommend to guests to at least see each of the great fireworks and laser shows within the parks that they are being shown to get the full magical feeling.  The music and other small things will be lost when trying to see them from afar.  But any extra viewing is a bonus!!!
