    Hi, I was wondering if a family of 7 (5kids) was ever picked to be the family of the day for the opening ceremony at magic kingdom. My kids would love it however I have only seen families of 4 chosen.

    Hi Jennifer! Being chosen as the family of the day to help open the Magic Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World is a dream for so many guests. Over the years I have seen many different types of families being chosen. There have been multi generational groups, single parent families, etc. There is not a specific "type" of family that is searched for but instead a family who is showing great enthusiasm and spirit. Although I am not sure this helps I have heard that wearing fun Disney shirts or hats can draw the attention to being chosen. Whatever you do please understand that the choice is strictly at random from the families who arrive early for the park's rope drop.
