Greetings Shelby and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with an excellent question!
I’m delighted to hear that you are planning a trip to the
Disneyland Resort with your little one! According to the
current operational guidelines, face coverings are required for all Guests ages 2 and up.
The guidelines also state that All face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) must:
- Be made with at least 2 layers of breathable material
- Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
- Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free
Guests are permitted to wear a shield in addition to a facial covering, but not in place of one. On my recent visit to the Disneyland Resort to attend
A Touch of Disney, I saw plenty of little ones wearing face masks. Maybe you can start practicing with your son at home in preparation for your trip. Also, keep in mind that as long as you are stationary and actively eating or drinking, you can take a break from wearing a mask.
I hope this information helps! Please come back to planDisney if you think of any more questions!
