wondering if you have ever drove from Ontario planning to drive this August with 11.5month old and 4year old and would love some tips plan to do it with one night stop and leave home late at night any other tips also what all star resort is better and why

    Hi Sheena,

Thanks for your question! I have driven from Ontario to Orlando, however, not with children.  I think that the drive is certainly doable, but you will need to be very organized and have lots of car friendly activities planned for your little ones.  (Thank Goodness for portable DVD players)!

Leaving at night is definitely a good idea, have the kids in their pyjamas and you won't even have to wake them up when you are ready to go, just transfer them into their car seats. I would also suggest to stop as frequently as possible and let your kids run around and burn some energy.  I love doing a treasure hunt during long drives.  Have a list of "landmarks" and other items that you will see when driving (a red convertible, an evergreen tree etc) and when your four year old has found everything, have a "Disney Prize Bag" that you have filled full Disney activities to keep your four year old occupied and excited during the drive.  When I drove, we had a cooler with some sandwiches, snacks and drinks so that we would not have to stop to eat, we could just keep on driving.  With little kids, when you see they are getting restless, find a spot off of the highway and have a picnic lunch!

From my experience, I prefer Disney's All-Star Music Resort because it is the smallest of the three All-Star Resorts. I do enjoy the theming at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, but for me, fewer people tend to win out in the end.  Disney's All-Star Sports Resort is my least favourite, because of the crowds and when we visited the property, there were a few sports teams staying at the Resort for a tournament, which brought the noise levels up significantly in the Resort.

I am afraid I am out of space Sheena.  If you have any other questions or would like some more tips, please send me another question.  I would be happy to help!

    Happy driving!
