I was wondering how early I can start check in for my upcoming stay and what the chances are my families room will be ready in the morning the day we arrive?

Welcome to planDisney, Derrick! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today.

With your vacation coming up in just a few weeks, you are welcome to begin the Online Check-In process right now if you'd like! If you open up the My Disney Experience app and tap on "Future Plans" in the main menu, you'll see a button that says "Start Check-In Now." The app will ask for a phone number to text you alerts about your room status, and a few other questions including what time you'll be arriving at your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. You can select "Before 3:00 PM" to let the Front Desk know that you'll be arriving early, but that does not guarantee that your room will be ready before the 3:00 PM check-in time. You'll also have the opportunity to make some room requests, and on that screen, you can check a box to let them know that having your room ready early is more important to you than fulfilling those room requests.

Derrick, I stay at Walt Disney World Resort several times a year and I have had an early check-in granted a handful of times, so it is possible but it is completely dependent on how many rooms are ready when you arrive. It can't be guaranteed, but everyone will do their best to accommodate your request!

    Have a magical day!
