I was wondering if you can drive up to park and drop off people without staying and paying for parking? Can you just drop people off or do you have to pay $20 for parking?

    Hi Kris!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am happy to answer your great question today!

Yes, there are designated drop-off/pick-up areas at all of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. You do not need to pay for theme park parking in order to drop Guests off. With the popularity of ride-sharing services on the rise, these drop-off areas have been officially added to all of the theme parks.

Kris, once you arrive at the theme park of your choice and have made your way to the parking payment area, please advise the Cast Member at the kiosk that you are dropping Guests off. They will advise you of where to go next. You will also find that conveniently located “drop-off” signs are being added to all of the parking lots.

At Magic Kingdom Park, the far two right lanes have been designated as “drop-off” lanes. There is also a drop-off area at the Transportation and Ticket Center (adjacent to Magic Kingdom Park). A Cast Member will be able to direct you accordingly.

Kris, I hope I have thoroughly answered your question. If you have any other questions or require further clarification please visit us again! We are always here to help you plan the “practically perfect” Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Wishing you Endless Magic,
