I have just been wondering when the dream key passes are going to be back for sale?

    Hi Julia!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sending this great Disneyland Resort Magic Key program question to us hEAR.

This is a great question, one I've actually asked recently myself. At this time there is no news of when or if these higher tiers (the Believe and Dream keys) of the Magic Key annual passes will return. The best bet is to keep up with the Disney Park Blog as they are the best straight-from-Mickey source of Disney Parks news.

One option that you do have at this time is you could start by purchasing an Enchant Key, or an Imagine Key if you live within the Southern California zip codes of 90000 to 93599, and then upgrade to a Dream Key once it becomes available. Going this route would allow you to start your 12 months of magic sooner rather than later. There's even still time to buy and activate either of these keys to get in on the festivities of Magic Key Holder Celebration Month! And don't forget about the in-park dining and merchandise key holder discounts!

I will say, however, that when upgrading from one key to another or even upgrading a standard or promotional theme park admission ticket to a Magic Key, which is a great option as the funds used to purchase either will be applied to the upgrade cost of your Magic Key, the expiration date of your Key will be 365 days from the first day you used your park ticket/lower tier key and not the day you upgraded to the Dream Key. You'll also pay in full the full-year cost difference between what you purchase now and the upgrade to the Dream Key later, even if there are only a few months left before the renewal of your initial key. Take a look at the Magic Key Access Calendar for each of the Magic Keys to see if the Imagine or Enchant Key would work for you (for right now).

I'm so sorry that this answer didn't provide better news, Julia. I'm hopeful that you'll find something that works with your schedule, AND that Tinker Bell will sprinkle some extra pixie dust on all of us Key Holder wannabes sooner rather than later! Don't forget to check out the official planDisney Instagram account for all kinds of Disneyland Resort tips and tricks, and I hope that we get to see you in the parks real soon!
