Hiya, Joselin!
Aren’t Disney dogs the
ulti-mutt? Thanks for asking such an important question. After all, I’m a dog owner too. So I too am especially interested in the best possible accommodations for our pooch.
Let’s talk about the Disneyland Resort
policies about animals. First of all, if your dog is a
service animal trained to perform work or tasks to assist a person with a disability, that fur-bulous hero is permitted to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks as a companion to the Guest requiring that service. While there are some attractions that are not able to accommodate service animals on the ride vehicles, service animals are allowed to go to most Guest areas of the theme parks. Accommodations are available at some attractions for a service animal to wait for their party in a special pen. Now let’s discuss the policy for non-service animals. For their own safety and the safety of other Guests, animals, including pets, emotional support animals and other animals that don’t qualify as a trained service animal are
not permitted at the Disneyland Resort.
Tony’s Tip: Fortunately, there are a number of
pet-friendly Good Neighbor Hotels nearby to the Disneyland Resort. They are great options for accommodating a furry friend while Guests enjoy the magic of the theme parks. But don’t those sweet little companions deserve a special treat after being separated from their people for a little while? I recommend paying a visit to some of the
re-tail stores throughout the Disneyland Resort that feature toys and accessories meant for our pets. Some locations include
Pooh Corner in
Critter Country and
Disney Home in the
Downtown Disney District. Even if our pets may not be able to visit the Disneyland Resort with us, perhaps we can take some of the magic from The Happiest Place on Earth back home for them to enjoy!
Thanks again for your question, Joselin. If there is anything else you are wondering about as you get ready to visit the Disneyland Resort, please visit us at planDisney again!
