    Just wondering if the Disney's River Country Water Park is still open and why it is never mentioned anywhere? Not in books, videos, or even on the website. If it is still open, is it in the water park option in our package?

    Hi there Jolene! 

    I have some good news and some bad news for you. So for the bad news first, unfortunately, River Country was closed back in 2001. I can't believe it made it that long... There are many different reasons why the park closed but the one I like the best is that there are two other magnificent water parks for you to go to. And... that is the good news! As part of your Water Park options you have Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon to choose from. Both are amazing water parks and are much bigger than River Country. They both offer world class slides and wave pools. I think you will have a great time at both of the water parks!
