Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Taryn.
Something that I love about
Walt Disney World is how accommodating they try to be to Guests with all different dietary requests and restrictions. It really shows how much they care about the Guest experience which keeps me coming back time and time again.
I tried doing some research on this topic and unfortunately, there isn't a lot of information out there about the type of chicken the different restaurants at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Resort Hotels use. However, as I mentioned before, Disney does try to be so accommodating and transparent about ingredients. What I would suggest doing if you are concerned is to reach out to the
Special Diets team directly. You can email them at special.diets@DisneyWorld.com with your specific question. It's best to reach out to them at least 14 days prior to your vacation to give the team plenty of time to get back to you before you leave so you know what to plan for. You can also learn more information by visiting the
Special Dietary Requests page of the Walt Disney World website.
In my research about this, Taryn, I did come across one restaurant claiming to have antibiotic-free chicken. At Disney Springs you'll find a quick-service dining location called
Chicken Guy which is owned by the famous Guy Fieri. On the official Chicken Guy website, it talks about how he uses all fresh, never frozen, antibiotic-free chicken although there is no mention of steroids but I would bet that it is pretty clean chicken. So I would consider that a pretty safe place to grab a bite to eat while you are on vacation.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction, Tayrn. If you have any other questions while planning your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Enjoy!
