    Hi I was wondering are any of the Disney resorts doing the mermaid classes or not anymore?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Shayna. Life is the...what's that word again? Oh, bubbles! Let's get your question answered.

    At this time, the Mermaid School that was previously offered at a few of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels is not available. However, don't fret. There are plenty of experiences at the resort for mermaid (and merman) fans!

    While life is full of tough choices, choosing to fill your vacation at the resort with mermaid-centric activities is not one of them. Let me give you an idea of some of the activities available at this time:

    • "You're the one, the one I've been looking for." Ariel from the classic animated story is currently meeting in her Grotto at Magic Kingdom Park. Ariel from the live-action story is meeting at Walt Disney Presents in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
    • "Now, let's eat before this crab wanders off my plate." Want to eat with Princess Ariel herself? She often makes appearances at both Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom Park and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT (specific characters aren't guaranteed)
    • "Have I ever been wrong? I mean, when it's important!" Ride along as Scuttle takes you through the adventures of Ariel and her family and friends on Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid in Magic Kingdom Park.
    • "Ya look great, kid. Ya look sensational." Make an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park and ask to get an Ariel-inspired makeover. You can also usually find some mermaid-worthy accouterments at Sir Mickey's, right across from this fine establishment.
    • "I don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad." Wave to our favorite Princess on her float during the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park.
    • "But who cares? No big deal. I want more!" Catch the nighttime spectacular Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park, where you'll see some elements of The Little Mermaid. Also, she and her charming Prince are featured in Fantasmic! in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
    • "Watch, and you'll see. Someday, I'll be part of your world." Princess Ariel and Prince Eric have historically been meeting and greeting during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
    • "First, we got to create the mood." While we don't yet have an opening date, the Disney Parks Blog announced that there will be a brand-new stage show inspired by the animated classic The Little Mermaid in Disney's Hollywood Studios this fall. Who knows? Maybe it'll be open by the time you visit. The puppetry looks phenomenal!
