Hi there, Diane!
Ahoy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to “sea” that you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation planned for next year! My family’s first Disney Cruise Line vacation was onboard the Disney Magic and it remains one of our favorite ships to set sail on! Don’t get me wrong, all four Disney Cruise Line ships are incredible, but we always tend to find ourselves heading back “home” on the
Disney Magic as often as possible!
One of the best things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is the onboard
Youth Clubs…not only do the Mouseketeers get to have an amazingly fun time in there, but the grown-up kids get an opportunity to take advantage of some of the adult-exclusive spaces onboard, too! My favorite is the
Quiet Cove pool where I can catch up on that book I have been trying – unsuccessfully – to get through for months and my husband’s favorite retreat is to catch up on the first-run movies he hasn’t been able to get to! And we know that our boys are having the time of their lives playing, exploring and making new friends…so everyone is happy! In addition to the free play, there are often scheduled activities in the Youth Clubs for children to participate in, if they choose to. Unfortunately, due to privacy and safety for all, photographs – and photographers – are not permitted during secured programming in the Youth Clubs. But you are more than welcome to join your kiddos during the scheduled Open House hours and take all the pictures you want during those times! Once you are onboard you will be able to access the full schedule of activities and events and often some of these such as Marvel Training Academy, the Royal Princess Academy and Everyone Can Cook are scheduled during Open House hours allowing Guests of all ages to participate – and then you can take photos! Onboard activities and entertainment are always subject to change and varies from voyage to voyage, so the
Navigator app will be the best way for you to find out exactly what is going on – and when!
Diane, it may seem like your voyage is far off, but believe me, it will be here before you know it! As you continue planning, please come back with any other questions you have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
