I was wondering if the Disney Park Hopper Passes don’t allow you to get into any park until 2pm or can you get in any park in the morning and can’t switch to another park until 2pm. I’m a bit confused about how the Hopper passes work.

Hello there, Lilia a, and thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!  You're right that there have been some recent changes to how the Park Hopper® Option works, so hop aboard my magic carpet and let's explore "A Whole New World" of Park Hopper how-tos!

The unbelievable sights and indescribable feeling of visiting multiple Disney Parks in a single day...is there anything better? Simply put, the Park Hopper allows you to enter one park to which you have made a Theme Park Reservation when the parks open, and then take yourself anywhere with time to spare to another park after 2 p.m. as long as the parks haven't reached capacity.

Let's say you wanted to start the first day of your vacation at Disney's Animal Kingdom and have already made your park reservation. The magical day comes for you to arrive at Animal Kingdom and you enter and enjoy your morning rushing to Pandora – The World of Avatar and experiencing everything else the park has to offer! After 2 p.m., you could spend the remainder of the day Soarin', tumbling, freewheeling through your choice of Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or Magic Kingdom Park - or all three if you were feeling up to it! As long as you enter the park you selected as part of your park reservation first, once 2 p.m. passes, no one can tell you no, or where to go, or say you're only dreaming...within reason.

Remember the park hopping policy is always subject to change and is dependent upon park capacity, but in my experience, it works great!

Whenever I'm planning a multi-day trip to Walt Disney World Resort, I always spend quite a bit of time deciding whether to add the Park Hopper to my tickets! On some trips, like when we'll be turning it into one of our Disney Vacations by Land and Sea, we are sure to snag a Park Hopper and squeeze all the magic we can out of a few days!

Lilia a, I hope from way up here it's crystal clear that now you're in a whole new world with your Park Hopper! If you run into any other questions as you continue to plan your vacation, please chase them anywhere...or, actually here at planDisney!

Hope your upcoming vacation is a thrilling chase, a wondrous place for you and your family!
