Hi there, Sharyn, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can’t wait for you to embark on exciting adventures at the Happiest Place on Earth!
It’s always a good idea to plan ahead so you know what to expect when traveling, so I’m glad you reached out! Currently, the
Disneyland Resort accepts
Disney Visa Cards, credit and debit cards with either the Visa or MasterCard logo,
Disney Gift Cards, American Express, Discover, Diner’s Club, JCB (Japanese Credit Bureau), and American Express sign and travel. In addition, one of our amazing Walt Disney World specialists,
Julie P., recently did some investigating for us at the Disneyland Resort during her weekend trip. She discovered that the Resort also accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. She spoke with a Cast Member who mentioned they recently installed a new payment system, which may work with technologies such as Visa payWave. So, we can’t confirm that it’s currently available, but I’d recommend checking back before your visit. As for using your Load & Go Prepaid Visa Card, it should be accepted at the Disneyland Resort, since it can be used everywhere Visa debit is accepted in the U.S.
Also, should you need to exchange foreign currency, you can do so at City Hall in Disneyland Park, and at the Guest Relations Lobby in Disney California Adventure Park. There are also
ATMs located inside both theme parks, and throughout the Disneyland Resort.
You’re going to have a blast this summer at the Resort! From the opening of
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park, to exciting new attractions and entertainment at Disney California Adventure Park, there’s truly something for everyone! I can’t wait to check out the new outdoor musical production,
“Tale of the Lion King,” which debuted a few days ago. And, I’m eagerly awaiting the opening of
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind on Pixar Pier – it looks like it should be ready soon!
Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation full of magic and wonder!
