Hi! Wondering about Disney gift cards. We are in Canada, and with the dollar always changing I want to purchase some USD Disney gift cards. Will they ship to Canada? Also, how does the e-card work? Can I purchase that in Canada in UDS to use in April?

    Hi Teena,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. As a fellow Canadian, I can absolutely understand trying to shield your vacation budget from the ups and downs of the Canadian Dollar (CAD) vs. the American Dollar (USD).

Unfortunately, neither Disney Gift Cards nor Disney Gift Card eGifts can be shipped to an international address. I’ve tried to “ship” an ecard to my email address, to no avail.

That being said, I know that there are several Canadian retailers that now sell Disney Gift Cards in CAD, which can be used anywhere that USD Disney Gift Cards. I’ve purchased some of them in preparation for my next Disney Parks vacation and, even though I know that I’ll have to pay the day’s exchange rate when I do redeem them, it’s the best option that I can think of for budget-conscious Canadians who will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort.

I realize my answer is somewhat disappointing, but I hope I’ve helped you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
