I was wondering how the Disney Dining Plan works? I've always just paid as I go while I was there. Is there a benefit to choosing the dining plan? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi Michelle!

Planning and organizing family vacations can be a lot of work, so I always look for ways to ease the stress and offer a little peace of mind. For me, the Disney Dining Plan is just that! It's not only convenient, but it takes the worry out of budgeting for meals during our vacation and can even save us a little money compared with paying out of pocket for the same experiences.

Disney Dining Plans are only available to Guests booking a Magic Your Way Package which includes a room reservation and park tickets. My family usually chooses the standard Disney Dining Plan, however, there are also Quick-Service, Deluxe, Premium and Platinum Plans available. With the Standard Plan each Guest (3 and older) receives 1 snack, 1 Quick-Service meal and 1 Table-Service meal per night of their stay. They also receive a Rapid Fill Resort refillable mug for use during their visit. You plan your dining like normal, but when it comes time to pay, you let the Cast Member know you're on the Dining Plan, touch your MagicBand and your dining entitlements will be subtracted.

I want to relax and enjoy our vacation as much as the rest of the family and the Disney Dining Plan is just one of the many Disney services that allows me to do just that. Our meals are already planned and paid for before we even arrive, so I can spend more time appreciating the magic around me.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, Michelle.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
