    I am wondering if there is a discount for Veterans that did not retire. I did see something about SoG giving a discount in Jan & Sept but I am looking to stay at the Polynesian and wondered if they offered anything.

    Thanks for your great question and for your service! As I understand it, the military hotel discounts offered at the Walt Disney World resorts only apply to active duty and retired military. I'm sorry to report that there does not appear to be a provision for those who served but did not retire from the military.

    We have family and friends who have stayed at Shades of Green, which is an official Armed Services Recreation Center Resort. They have great things to say about the resort and its proximity to Magic Kingdom. I hope you will explore any discounts that might be available to you there.
