Hey there, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney!
As a military spouse, I thank you so much for your service. Your visit to Walt Disney World will be here before you know it. It is my pleasure to talk to you a bit about eligibility for discounted military tickets and passes.
First things first, to see what military offers are available at the moment, visit the
U.S. Military 2026 Tickets page. If eligible, you can buy tickets for up to 6 family members. You can buy them at your closest and most convenient military base’s ticket office. You’ll want to get them as soon as possible so that you can make
theme park reservations.
Theme park ticket discounts for military members are only offered to military service members who are active duty, reservists, retired, or have a 100% disability rating. There were a few years when my spouse didn’t qualify, but with time, he became eligible again. The good news is that if you’re interested in staying at Shades of Green, the nearby AFRC, all military members are eligible to stay during the months of January and September.
AN EXTRA GEM: Using a
Disney Gift Card is my go-to way to save money while at the Disney Parks. I can buy them at a discounted price (sometimes in bulk) at a local department store and then combine them by logging in to the Disney Gift Cards website. Jennifer, you can put up to $1,000 on one card. I use these cards for food, souvenirs,
Lightning Lane purchases, and everything in between.
Definitely feel free to look into your eligibility more by visiting a nearby base or by contacting
Shades of Green, an AFRC hotel near Disney World. If you have any additional questions about your Disney vacation planning, revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
