HI There, I was wondering on the dining plans.. How do you know what will be considered a snack? say in the morning at the food courts at resorts, I get a pastry but not a meal...would that count? Or is it more just ice cream, popcorn? Thank you?

    Hi Nicolle,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you have asked about the Dining Plan snacks!

We find the dining plans to be a great value, in part, because of the snacks. There are a wide variety of snack options available on the dining plans. Since there are so many possibilities, we simply ask when we get to a restaurant. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you will receive two snacks per night of your resort stay. Those snacks could include a frozen ice cream novelty, a piece of fresh fruit, 12-ounce coffee or hot tea, prepackaged milk or juice, or a 20-ounce Coca Cola, Sprite or Dasani Water but these are just a few possibilities.

At Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom, we love to stop in and get smoothies. One of my favorite snacks are the frozen lemonades that you can get at snack carts throughout the parks. Keep in mind that you can use your snacks in whatever order you decide. On our last trip, we did not use any snacks on the first day, so we used double the snacks on a day when we skipped lunch.

Yes, your pastry could be a snack but it depends on the restaurant. And yes, there are more snack options than just ice cream! There are so many tasty options.

Since you have a dining plan, I hope you have made Dining Reservations. Restaurants fill quickly especially for character meals.

    Happy Planning!
