HI! Wondering if the Dining Plan is worth it. Staying 3 nights & want to dine at Be Our Guest & go to the Hoop De Doo at Wilderness (2 credits). Last time we went for over a week & left with unused counter service credits. Don't want to wast

    Jaime:

Because you already know the restaurant and dinner show where you would spend your Disney Dining credits, you can easily add up the cost of the dinner show along with an average entree at Be Our Guest to see if you'd be getting a good deal with the plan. But I can save you the math: on face value the answer is more than likely no.

It's unusual for a dinner show that charges two credits to equal the value of two dinners on the dining plan, even with gratuity included in the price of a dinner show. Additionally, dinner at Be Our Guest is certainly not one of the most expensive on property, even if you do order the "grey stuff." Even though you shouldn't have any left over credits with such a short stay, paying out of pocket would be the better way to go, especially since I have a feeling you won't have time to spend at the resort's pool and reuse the refillable mug that comes with the Dining Plan.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
