Hello, I was wondering if the dining plan can be used for the food and wine festival. And if so, what credit can be used, like quick service or snack credit? Also any recommendations for things I should try while there. Thanks so much! Love this panel!!!!

Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie! The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is one of my favorite ways to spend fall. Just last year, my best friends and I journeyed around the world for food and drinks, noting our favorites on Instagram and repeating a stand or two for more!

You can absolutely use the Disney Dining Plan during Food & Wine Festival, though it may take a little creativity. Typically, at many of the stands and outlets, you can redeem snack credits for drinks, small plates or single serving items. You’ll see a purple square Disney Dining Plan logo on the menus for redeemable items. Since you many only have two or so snack credits for each day you are on property, you may want to “downgrade” a meal credit for snack credits… after all, a few small plates in Epcot can easily make a tasty, varied meal! You can use your credits right at the register and ask the Cast Member if you can downgrade a meal into a snack credit right there before you place your order.

As of now, you can check meal credits and snack credits in the mobile My Disney Experience Mobile App along with your folio charges and more. As an added bonus, if you feel that you need a little extra “snacking” money, you can purchase a gift card fob specially for the F&W Festival for use all around the parks! Please let me know if you have any other questions about your magical vacation. ~ Lindsey P.
