I am wondering about my dining choices for WDW. Akershus for breakfast or dinner? Hesitant about Play n dine, wondering if its better for breakfast or lunch? Boma or Saana? Thanks in advance :)

    Hello Kaitlyn,

Oh, I loved seeing your question, since I absolutely love answering questions for dining recommendations. You have chosen some great spots to choose from, so here is my take on them.

I would recommend Akershus for dinner. There are quite a few more options for dinner and the food is so delicious. You can even get a "Taste of Norway" appetizer, which is a sampling of several traditional Norwegian favorites including meats, cheeses and salads. The Norwegian Meatballs are absolutely scrumptious. However, if you decide to go to breakfast there instead, you must try the Lingonberry Muffins. I promise you won't be disappointed. I could eat just a plate of those and leave completely content.

In regards to Hollywood & Vine for the Disney Junior Play 'n' Dine breakfast or lunch, I would suggest either. The buffets at both are full of great items that are both hearty and light. At breakfast, there are omelets made to order, breakfast frittata, and my personal favorite, biscuits and gravy. At lunch, there is a "create your own pasta" station, short ribs, salmon, chicken dishes, and lobster mac and cheese. At both lunch and dinner, there is a kids' buffet filled with kids' favorites. The buffet is even lower so that they can reach and see what the options are. My children love this, as do I, so I don't have to lift them up to see the food while also carrying a plate.

Finally, I would suggest Sanaa over Boma. Both restaurants at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas are very nice, but I, personally, think Sanaa has slightly better food. I especially like the Indian style bread service as an appetizer and the lamb shank is simply mouth-watering. I will warn you, though, you might have a hard time choosing a dessert among all the sweet temptations offered.

I hope you have a wonderful time full of memories.

    Bon Appétit!
