I am wondering what the differences are between the standard room at the Pop Century and the Little Mermaid Standard rooms at the Art of Animation? Is it worth the difference in cost to stay at the Art of Animation? There will be 3 adults in the room.

    Hi Debbie,

Thanks so much for visiting with your question. My family has stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort as well as Disney's Art of Animation Resort in The Little Mermaid Standard Room and I'm happy to share my thoughts!

Comparing the rooms side by side, there really isn't a difference other than décor and the fact that Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a little newer. Both Resorts are conveniently located and have dedicated busses to and from the parks that don't have any other stops on the way, which is a nice perk in my opinion.

The real difference for me is the Landscape of Flavors food court and the Big Blue Pool, both located at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. I prefer both of these to the options at Disney's Pop Century for my family. That said, we greatly enjoyed both locations and would be happy to stay at either Resort again.

My choices are largely made with my children in mind, so the fact that you will be traveling only with adults may give you a different perspective. For instance, my boys love Finding Nemo, but that may not be as important to you.

Barring the above differences, Disney's Pop Century Resort is definitely my number one choice of Value Resorts if budget is the main priority.

I hope this gives you some insight while making your decision, Debbie. Wishing you a magical vacation!
