Hi Melissa,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for visiting us again while planning your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. One of the things I love about the
Walt Disney World Resort is that no matter how many times you visit, each vacation is unique.
I tend to waffle back and forth about whether or not we need to add the Park Hopper Option to our tickets. I have found that we park hop more during shorter vacations than during longer ones. We might spend the whole day in one park then hop to another to take advantage of
Evening Extra Magic Hours. I can understand why you would be considering the Park Hopper Option. You can upgrade your
Theme Park Ticket before you arrive or at any time as long as there is still one valid admission on the ticket. Whether you upgrade before you arrive or on your last day at the parks, you will still pay the full cost to upgrade a 3-Day Theme Park Ticket. Conveniently, many Theme Park Tickets can be upgraded within the
My Disney Experience app!
Personally, I would wait until you are absolutely sure before you upgrade your ticket. If you change your mind and decide not to park hop, the upgrade is nonrefundable. Giving yourself some time to decide is always a good idea. I also think it's smart to wait because you can spread the cost of your vacation over several months. I like to spread out our costs as much as possible to give our budget some breathing room.
Melissa, thank you again for stopping by with another question. I hope you will let us know if you have any other questions before your visit.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
