Hi Rochelle, and welcome back to planDisney!
I'm so happy to see you here again to get more information about the
Disability Access Service (DAS) at Walt Disney World Resort. It's a great way to have the most magical vacation despite having trouble waiting in attraction queues. I've seen firsthand how this service has given my friends and family members peace of mind while exploring the theme parks.
Once you've registered for DAS with a friendly Cast Member and added your pre-selected attraction(s), you'll wait until your one-hour return time window opens, and your party will go to the entrance of the attraction. Head to the
Lightning Lane queue and tap your
MagicBand/MagicBand+, theme park ticket, or device with a Disney MagicMobile digital pass on the round, silver Lightning Lane touchpoint. The Cast Member can see from their devices the type of access you have, so there's no need to show them your reservation.
As a reminder, to see if you qualify to use DAS later this month, there are a couple of ways that you can add the accommodation. You can pre-register virtually via the Walt Disney World Resort website from 2-30 days before your vacation. Or visit Guest Services at one of the theme parks upon arrival.
AN EXTRA GEM: DAS not only covers your Lightning Lane access, but it also includes up to five additional party members. This means that you don't have to wait in the Lightning Lane and enjoy the fun attractions alone! And you can use DAS without needing to register again for up to 60 days after your first use. Pretty cool, right?
Rochelle, I hope that you found this information helpful. While you're at Walt Disney World Resort, try to find time to visit EPCOT for the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. My list of foods and drinks to try is longer than Rapunzel's hair, but that's the beauty of it. You're sure to find a culinary treat that you'll love. If you have any other questions about your Disney vacation planning, please don't hesitate to
give us a holler here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
