hi. i was wondering what the crowds are like early december, like the first two weeks of december at disney world ?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah! Thanks for stopping by to bring us your question.

Sarah, a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is always special, but there’s just something extra magical about a visit during the Holidays! There’s extra cheer everywhere you go. The decorations are simply stunning. And with all the special activities happening during the most wonderful time of the yEAR, it is a most magical time to visit!

Sarah, I’ve found that those first weeks, specifically the first week and a half of December are not too busy! Kids are still in school so guests usually wait to visit once school is out for winter break. There are some fun crowd calendars you can check out online. They’re not always correct, but they do track historic crowd patterns and they take into consideration special events, so they’re a good resource for planning your dates. Just do a quick online search for crowd calendars and you’ll find a few you can compare.

Once you’ve settled on your dates, be sure to plan on enjoying all the special activities happening at the resorts during your stay. My must-do’s during the Holidays are Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I hope this helps you as you dream up and plan your holiday! Be sure to come back to see us again with any additional questions.

    See ya real soon!
