Hello, I was wondering how crowded the MVMCP Parade gets (early December). If we want to watch it on Main Street, how far ahead of time should we find a spot? Thank you!

Hi Julie! Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World is one of their two great special events held yearly in the Magic Kingdom. I love heading to this event as it always gets me into the Christmas spirit and ready for the holidays.

During each party there will be the infamous parade complete with my favorite walking toy soldiers as well as Santa Claus of course. This is done twice each party night so if you are looking for the easiest way to get a good spot on Main Street then I suggest you consider watching the second parade. We like to do this so the main crowd has time to leave after the fireworks making the transportation a bit easier to catch back to our resort. If you don't mind being out a bit later and watching the second parade I suggest you head to the Town Hall circle about 30 minutes before parade time. You should be able to find plenty of seats along the curbs to rest your legs while you wait. Then once the parade passes you are ready to leave and head home.

If you are hoping to watch the first parade then my suggestion is to head there close to an hour to grab a curb seat. You will find many guests holding spots using strollers and such so it can get a bit crazy.
